Important information on the Amazon preorder for MARIN’S PROMISE 😣

UPDATE: Amazon has finished fixing the problem! To get the correct version of the book, please go to Manage Your Content and Devices in your Amazon account, and hit the “Update” button for MARIN’S PROMISE. It should look something like this:

This will send the updated, final file to your Kindle and replace the preorder version.

I HATE having to write this – it’s an author’s worst nightmare on release day. If you pre-ordered MARIN’S PROMISE, first off, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please know that my readers mean the world to me, and I appreciate you so much. If you bought MARIN’S PROMISE anywhere but Amazon, you can ignore this, as you got the correct, final file. 

If you pre-ordered MARIN’S PROMISE on Amazon, when you open your book, instead of the final file, you will see something like this:

Amazon did not take the correctly uploaded file (which was uploaded before the due date) and so is giving a placeholder file to people who purchased. 

They are trying to get it resolved but can’t expedite the correction. I have been on the phone with them, and I have contacted them through e-mail, so they are definitely aware of the situation. You should receive an update in your Kindle when the final file is available to update.

I apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have the issue resolved as soon as is absolutely possible. I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding in this incredibly frustrating time. I’m so, so upset. 😥
